We are proposing that CPPNA implement programs similar to the following Friday Freedom Forums on college campuses all across North America:

FRIDAY FREEDOM FORUM

 

The Friday Freedom Forum will tomorrow, November 18 2011 at 4:30pm, give the platform to Dr. Abu Sakara Foster to lead in a discussion on the topic "Organising the polling stations" at the party headquarters, Asylum down.

Dr. Abu Sakara is the Executive Director of Rural and Agricultural Development Associates and accomplished Agricultural Development Expert of international reknown.

He professionally advices governments and development organizations on the promotion of food security and economic growth, through rural and agricultural development interventions.  He consults for World Bank, FAO, IFAD  and currently leads the Africa Unions Team of Agricultural Advisory Services Experts under the Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Program (CAADP).

Dr. Sakara’s experience includes technical, managerial and policy roles over a twenty five year career, with postings to Central America (Mexico), Southern Africa (Zambia), Eastern Africa (Tanzania, Uganda) and West Africa (Nigeria). He has also visited more than fifty countries on the five continents in his professional capacity on a range of projects and programs.

Dr. Sakara speaks six languages.  He is fluent in Gonja, Hausa and  Swahili and conversant with Twi.  His working languages are English and Spanish.

Since his return home Dr. Abu Sakara  has engaged with fellow Ghanaians at national and community level. He is founder and Chairman of the Buwulonso One Stop Rural Bank that services communities in West and Central Gonja.  He has also privately engaged with strategic national interventions in Maize production and development of the Shea nut  industry. He has now turned his attention to  Sugar cane.  He contributes to civil societies such as the Northern Development Forum and has been a veteran advocate for closing the north-south development divide in Ghana.

His passion for holistic development of Ghana was most evident during the 2008 election Campaign when as the Vice Presidential Candidate for CPP, he stridently advocated for a balanced and comprehensive national development policy that would be insulated from partisan politics across administrations.

Dr Abu Sakara is a party man and has demonstrated his service to the party first in support of four constituencies in the Northern region since the 2000 elections. He has also been associated with the

Patriots and services as 1st National Chairman form 2007 to 2011. During this period he also stepped in as the Chairman of the National Organizational Committee and was given oversight of  Congress Affairs leading up to the 2011 National Delegates Congress. He has recently accepted to serve as the Chairman of the National Organizational Committee for the new administration.

Dr. Sakara is 54 years old and hails from Kekulasi the custodians of Gonja. His ancestral village is at Mankuma the Bole division of Gonja. He also has maternal links to Sunbgun in Kpembe Division, Eastern Gonja.  By Marriage he embraces Kansana-Nankani where his wife Mary-Lily Tigenoah hails from. He has been married twenty nine  years and has four children Miama, Seidu, Yomba and Alexia.

Dr. Sakara Foster was an avid sportsman in his youth competing internationally in Judo his favourite sport. He remains a keen sportsman and a fan of football, tennis and boxing.

Samia Nkrumah to launch CPP Friday Freedom Forum

In response to the growing public support and the deepening of the national goodwill towards the Convention People’s Party, the Chairperson and Leader of CPP and the National Secretariat of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) are pleased to sponsor and initiate the launching on Friday, November 4, 2011 of its first Friday Freedom Forum (FFF) at the CPP Headquarters from 6 – 9pm.

The aim of the FFF is to put forward and to communicate to the people of Ghana the Party’s immediate agenda as well as its plans for the near future when it attains the mandate to govern Ghana. Important to the Party are the issues of Party discipline, the projection and promotion of a positive image of the Party and the inculcation of the attitude of humility, self-respect, humanism, simplicity and service to the country; which will be representative of the Party values of putting people first, self-determination, collective responsibility and Pan-Africanism.

The launch of the Friday Freedom Forum at the Party Headquarters will bring together all new and existing Party members to discuss ongoing matters pertaining to Party education, membership drive, communication of Party policies, public education and the development of a mass following. The FFF will also have an artistic content to add fun to all of its proceedings.

The program of the Friday Freedom Forum will be replicated at all Regional Offices and suitable Branch locations across the country.

Inaugural Program: Friday November 4, 2011 - 6-9pm

Venue: Open Space at the Head Office of the Convention People’s Party, Mango Street, Asylum Down, Accra.

The program will be hosted by Kabu Okai-Davies, CPP aspiring candidate for the Korley Klottey Constituency; Playwright, Poet and Author, Theatre Producer and Director, Kabu Okai-Davies is currently the Director of Creativity and Innovation at the African University College of Communications, Adabraka, Accra.
